Valentine's Day in Bangkok
While love really should be celebrated every day, Valentine's Day is an excuse to raise the bar a few notches, to show that special person in your life just how much you care. Here are some decadent ways to spend a romantic and memorable evening in the run up to, and on, Valentine's Day.

Valentines at Millennium Hilton Bangkok

With the Millennium Hilton Valentine's package, you and your loved one will be whisked to the Hilton by chauffeur-driven limousine, and welcomed with a drink on arrival. On Valentine's night, a delectable six-course meal and a bottle of champagne will be served to you in your spacious Royal Suite, with soft music in the background as you look down onto the glittering cityscape below you. The following morning, relax and unwind with a signature spa treatment, before a limousine glides you home (100,000 ++ baht per couple).
No less than five restaurants will also be serving special creations for the most romantic night of the year. In the spectacular rooftop lounge bar, Three Sixty enjoy a three-course candlelit meal. Soft piano music in the background and the sparkling River of Kings beneath will make for a magical evening (6,900 ++ baht per couple). Alternatively, arrive after 21:00 for cocktails and a full lounge band (2,900 ++ baht per couple). At riverside restaurant Flow, a classical string quartet will serenade you as you enjoy an Extravaganza Buffet, specially created for the evening. A hotel photographer will capture your evening, and you'll be presented with welcoming and farewell gifts (4,900 ++ baht per couple).
Chinese venue Yuan will be offering an a la carte menu and two set menus for those wanting to sample different delicacies. Prime will be offering its full a la carte menu - the finest imported steaks and freshest seafood - alongside surprise gifts and a romantic ambiance with soft, carefully selected music. For riverside drinks step into the light at The Lantern, a chic riverside lounge offering a unique Lovers' cocktail menu. Valentines' cakes and chocolate boxes, available here from February 10, will allow you to indulge yourself as the river glides by.

Priced at 220 baht, the ‘Diamond Heart Chocolate’ is made from dark chocolate with strawberry filling and topped up with imported sugar diamond, and comes in a lovely jewelry box.

BarSu is the place to wine, dine and dance into the early hours with the one you love. A Valentine's Buffet menu at Marriott Cafe will include Seared Akami Tuna, Grilled Australian Beef Medallion on Tomato Confit, Pan Seared Foie Gras and Valentine's Desserts (1,800 baht per person). Thai restaurant White Elephant is preparing a dinner set menu accompanied by authentic Thai classical dance (1,500 baht per person). Dishes include Roasted Duck and Vegetable wrapped with Spring Roll, Hot and Sour Chicken Coconut Milk Soup, and Steamed River Prawn with Curry Paste. James Ng, Executive Chinese Chef at Man Ho, has crafted a Chinese set menu ideal for romantic moments (1,600 baht per person). Dishes include: Braised Shark's Fin Soup with Crab Meat, Braised Sea Prawns Tied with String Bean, and Mango Pudding.
Tsu is offering a special Japanese set menu (2,200 baht per person). Starters will include Seafood Creamy Miso Soup and New Wave Sashimi. For main Chef Aki will serve Taraba Tempura with Aki's Special Creamy Sauce, Deep Fried Snow Fish with Saikyo Miso Sauce. Imported Japanese Sorbet served in fruit skin cup will make a seductive dessert. Nami is presenting a special Teppanyaki set menu (1,800 baht per person). Start off with Dynamite Sushi Balls, Seafood Creamy Miso Soup and Grilled Crab Salad. For main enjoy Sauteed Australian Angus Beef Tenderloin with Mushroom and Snow Fish and Vegetable with Sweet Soy Sauce, served with mix vegetable. Top it off with Fruits Flambe with Ice Cream. The in-hotel Bangkok Baking Company is also preparing Valentine pastries and chocolate (call ext 4170 to order).
