Where to Shop and What to Buy in Victory Monument

Shopping at Victory Monument is more about street fashion and cheap accessories that you might throw away after a few weeks than high-street designer labels. The area is frequented by working-class Thais and university students in search of something colourful and affordable. If you like street shopping, you might have fun browsing through the extensive collections here. For others, it can be exciting at first glance to see all the stalls packed with all kinds of goods, but the excitement basically stops there. Most shops are located underneath the BTS Skywalk and along the street from Ratchawithi Soi 3 to Soi 9.

All Shopping Places in Victory Monument

Century the Movie Plaza

Combining a lifestyle mall concept and a cineplex, Century the Movie Plaza is as exciting as it gets when it comes to entertainment in the Victory Monument area. The eight-story mall offers four floors of shopping and dining, with Tops Supermarket and MBK-style vendor stalls in the basement. The fifth floor houses the eight-screen Cineplex, while the sixth to eighth floors are designated as an ‘education zone’ for tutoring schools and institutes. It’s a good place to kill a few hours if you happen to be around and have nowhere else to go.

Fashion Mall Shopping Centre

Despite its name, there’s nothing fashionable about this place. The four-storey complex feels more like an empty indoor shopping bazaar, with direct access from the BTS Victory Monument’s Skywalk. The second floor is the highlight of this place, packed with budget nail and hair care stalls. But these are a far cry from the stylish hair salons you see in Siam area. You can, however, get your nails painted and hair done for an affordable price. The rest of the floors house a wide range of stalls selling cheap fashion accessories, mobile phones, clothing and shoes.

Part of Pullman King Power Bangkok Hotel, this modern glass-and-steel mall offers two floors of exclusive duty-free shopping. Find high-quality Thai products like jewelry, fashion, art, crafts, homeware and spa products on the first floor. The second floor features an extensive selection of world-renowned luxury brands like Cartier, Chopard, Salvatore Ferragamo, Burberry and Mont Blanc, amongst others.

Travellers will need to present their passports, flight number, itinerary, and King Power member card at the registration point. All purchased items can be picked up at Suvarnabhumi International Airport on departure date. If you are not travelling in the near future, you can still buy duty-free items here, but only limited categories, such as cameras, mobile phones, apparels, shoes, bags and Thai silk products.

Like its name suggests (meaning 100 shops), it houses an extensive lineup of single-unit shops selling everything from woman’s fashion to hair accessories, leather bags, shoes, high heels and even nurses’ uniforms. Most shops cater their collections exclusively to women, although there are a few T-shirt shops as well.

After sunset, a lineup of makeshift bars offers cheap drinks, such as bucket cocktails and local beers.
