Small-Group Sunset Culinary & Cultural Bike Tour with Dinner

Walking & Bike Tours

Take a gentle culinary and cultural bike ride through Bangkok’s Thonburi side. Sights and stops include the Klongsan Plaza, a Chinese pagoda, Wat Arun and Wat Pho temples, and the Pak Klong Talad flower market. Dine on a delicious array of traditional Thai foods along the way.

Meet at the meeting location and, after a quick bike fitting, start your tour at the Royal Orchid Sheraton Hotel. Cycle to your first river crossing to the Thonburi side of Bangkok, and then walk your bike through the Klongsan Plaza and its many shops. From there, peddle at a relaxed pace to a beautiful 8-story Chinese pagoda on the riverbanks of the Chao Praya River.

Continue your sunset ride through a quiet neighborhood, stopping at the Tha Din Daeng food market where you choose your "starter" for the evening. Your guide explains the various foods offered at the many stalls and how they're prepared.

Next, travel to one of the city's most famous landmarks, the stunning Wat Arun, or "Temple of Dawn." This majestic 260-foot (79-m) Buddhist temple on the west bank of the Chao Praya River is known for its distinctive spires, or prangs, and is particularly striking when lit up at night. After admiring the temple, it's time to rest and enjoy your main course at a local Thai restaurant.

Later, pass through Wat Rakangkositaram Woramahavihan, where you cross back to the Bangkok side. Upon arrival, ride through Sanam Luang square past the Grand Palace—the official residence of Thai kings for 150 years and the city's most famous landmark. Take a break from peddling and stroll around the temple compound when you reach Wat Pho, also known as the "Temple of the Reclining Buddha," which is one of the highest-grade first-class royal temples in Thailand.

Just south of there, peddle past the Pak Klong Talad flower market, the largest fresh flower market in Bangkok. Behold a kaleidoscope of bright colors as vendors receive fresh floral goods from every corner of Thailand. Then it's back to the Sheraton, where your tour ends with plenty of time for more nighttime adventures.
