    CRU Rooftop Champagne Bar

    Siam - 59th floor

Cru Rooftop Bar Bangkok is the highest and certainly one of the fanciest rooftop bars in Bangkok. It serves some exclusive labels of G.H. Mumm Champagne, a snack menu of world delicacies and genuine 360 degree views. Located above Centara Grand at CentralWorld, Cru Bangkok takes pride of place on the 59th (and quite literally on the rooftop) of the hotel. It has a more intimate and sophisticated feel than Red Sky and Uno Mas below, with its own private lift and a chic, white-on-white design. There’s a large circular bar in the centre and a huge illuminated arch that changes colours throughout the night and gives photos some nice contrasts. Read More...

Char Rooftop Bar at Indigo Hotel

    Ploenchit - 26th Floor

Char rooftop bar on the 26th floor of the Indigo Hotel in Ploenchit is the latest addition to the rooftop scene in Bangkok, a city blessed with more panoramic bars than any other town in the world. Char might not be as large as most of its counterparts but it has excelled at using the space wisely, with style, practicality and even managed to create a certain sense of privacy. You can sit in large comfortable loungers in one of those alcoves best described as ‘infinity salons’ or more uniquely, at the working station facing the growing cityscape of Bangkok. Probably the best place to finish that last email with a glass of Sauvignon Blanc!

    Zeppelin Bar on Sukhumvit 69

Cielo Rooftop Skybar (formerly Zeppelin) hits the right notes with a great view, affordable prices and plenty of front-row seats for the sunset. With so many rooftops in Bangkok, it’s important to stand out from the crowd, and although it has an out of the way location and an uninspiring entrance via an apartment building, it’s worth a trip to see the 180 degree cityscape from the 46th floor. Siam - 17th Floor

If you are looking for somewhere chic to have a sunset cocktail or to enjoy a rooftop dinner, then Zense rooftop is a great choice. The view is fantastic, from the horseracing track to the lines of traffic moving slowly out of town at the end of the day. But what we really love about Zense rooftop is its location. Walking through CentralWorld you’d never expect there to be such a cool and funky venue just above you. Read More...

The Roof @38 Node Sathorn Hotel

The Roof @38th Bar at Mode Sathorn Hotel is easily identifiable by its mauve color, way above the traffic jams and the little annoyances of big city life. The rooftop is entirely open-sky so not really an option on rainy days but the feeling of being high up in the air is real and impressive. You can walk around the entire circumference of the tower and discover a superb 360 view of this part of Bangkok. Read More...

    Bar9 at Novotel Platinum

    Pratunam - 9th Floor

Bar9 might not be very high (only 9 floors up) but it has a strategic location in the shopping heart of Bangkok, just between CentralWorld and Platinum Mall (and Pratunam market). The view is surprisingly nice and offers some interesting photo opportunities. Plus, what we like most is the chance to take a scenic break from the heat of a shopping day. Drinks are not expensive and the place is supremely comfortable - a bit like sitting in a garden by the pool, suspended above the madness of the city.

    342 Bar - Baan Wanglang

    Riverside - 5th Floor
    342 Rooftop Bar

This cute al fresco rooftop bar sits on top of Baan Wanglang Hotel on the Thonburi side of the river. Although you'll have to negotiate the ferry crossing to Wanglang pier whilst using your best map-reading skills to find the place, the views from the modest fifth floor are quite superb. It's small, yet its semi-hidden location means it doesn't get too packed, so you can enjoy the views across the water to the Grand Palace and Wat Arun in peace. There's also a good range of signature cocktails and bar snacks that won't give you a heart attack when the bill arrives.  Read More...

Bluesky - Centara Grand Lad Prao

    Chatuchak - 24th Floor

Finally a rooftop bar that stands out from the crowd – in terms of the location and view. Set on the 24th floor of the Centara Grand Hotel, Blue Sky offers a lofty vantage over Chatuchak and Lad Prao. From here, you can see the entire downtown Bangkok in one frame. The cocktail list highlights both the classics and signature creations. There’s also a restaurant serving French-inspired contemporary cuisine. Read More...

Distil, the second rooftop bar located on top of the famous lebua tower, is a cocktail bar and lounge marrying the most innovative drinks in Bangkok with a seriously awe-inspiring view from the 64th floor of lebua Hotel. Comprised of an indoor seating area of comfy sofas, a circular bar, and an outdoor cigar terrace, this is a sophisticated place where guests can expect to sample some finer rarities that few other bars in Bangkok can boast: exclusive wines, cigars, rare whiskies, and resident DJs playing jazzy lounge house. Speakeasy - Hotel Muse

    Chidlom - 25th Floor

The Speakeasy Hotel Muse takes you back to the 1920’s Prohibition era when illicit liquor was rolled in the back door by mobsters in Hench coats. Thankfully, you won’t be breaking any laws at this speakeasy, but authentic touches like a bath full of cocktails in jam jars and cool jazz playing in the background keep the vibe unique and funky. With great views over Sukhumvit and towards Sathorn, this rooftop is more unusual than most, but this isn’t just a skyline; the classic vintage cocktails are just as important as the view. Long Table

    Sukhumvit - 25th Floor
    Long Table Restaurant

Long Table is not quite sky scraping, but what it lacks in stature it makes up for in every other area by serving Thai food that tastes delicious and looks amazing, cocktails that err on the right side of sweet and a view that makes you forget that this isn’t a rooftop. In fact, after an evening spent watching the sunset with a Bangkok Cosmopolitan in hand followed by a three-course meal enjoyed lounging in one of Long Table’s cosy booths, I can honestly say there is no cooler sky bar in the city. Scarlett Wine Bar on the 37th floor of the Pullman Hotel Silom serves great cuisine with superb views of Bangkok sea of skyscrappers.
