Chef Art offers fairly straight, faithful
renditions of European classics, with Italian cuisine
probably edging out the French. From the starters,
roasted tomato soup with truffle oil, and asparagus
with parma ham are full of upfront flavours, but crab
cake is let down by a slightly sugary sauce. Slow-cooked
comfort food is a strong suit among the main courses,
with braised beef cheek standing out. Duck confit
benefits from a punchy mustard sauce, while pan-fried
salmon will suit those who fancy something lighter.
