The recent Thai fad for Korean food should not obscure how good and varied it can be. Heappari nemchea ( jelly fish salad) with wasabi is a delight; light, cool and with a nice crunch from the skin. Bi bim bob, the Korean national dish, is a mixture of rice and your choice of toppings; seaweed and shredded beef is good for the hungry. For a more adventurous soul, Korean beef tartare - resembling the Western version, but without many of the additions - is worth a try. The simple combination of raw meat and raw egg can make you feel like Rocky Balboa.
