ADDRESS

3RD FL, GAYSORN, 999 PLOENCHIT RD, BANGKOK 10330

SETTING

Xinn Tien Di, the latest addition to Gaysorn, is a mixture of traditional Chinese with a touch of contemporary.

FOOD

The extensive menu is mainly Cantonese. During lunch, a large selection of dim sum dishes are on offer. Soup is the most important part of a traditional Cantonese meal, so do not miss double consomme with bamboo piths and Yunnan ham. The renowned Chinese dish, monk jumps over the wall, is also not to be missed; however you need to order this dish one day in advance. Like most Cantonese restaurants, the menu features a good number of abalone and shark's fin dishes, as well as an excellent variety of seafood. Try sauteed lobster with preserved beans, you will not be disappointed. Also delicious is steamed drunken prawns. There is a good selection of Chinese desserts too, and highly recommended is pan-fried Chinese pancake stuffed with dates.
