A starter of taleggio cream with truffles, stuffed into baby potatoes, has a great fungal aroma, although the taste doesn't quite match it. Caesar salad is freshly prepared at the table. Lamb shank braised in red wine is very tender and tastes far more delicious than it might look. Trout with grapes and artichokes is the best of the fish options. The pizza and pasta selections advertised throughout the hotel turn out to be rather disappointing. Tartufo Vivaldi is the signature dessert, combining chocolate almond ice cream and cherries soaked in vin santo.

Setting

Decor is pleasant if not exactly thrilling, and service is excellent, in a low-key way, but the proximity of swimmers in the adjacent pool does tend to detract from enjoyment of the food.
