Uomasa's offering is predominantly seafood: various confaigurations of sushi and sashimi make up most of the menu here, but the other dishes should certainly not be ignored - of particular note are baigai umani (sweet snails boiled in soysauce) gyutan atsuyaki (grilled beef tongue) and hotate uni yaki (grilled scallops with uni sauce). But fresh fish is the star here, so order one of the assorted dishes - nanasyu sashimi offers excellent value, but those looking to splurge a little might go for, say, hana nigiri which will easily feed three. Creative sushi such as baked scallop rolls seems to be popular among fellow diners. Otoro sashimi includes a large heap of the fiery green wasabi. Grilled eel is also good here. Dessert is limited to ice cream and fruit.

Setting

A no-frills, double-height Japanese inn rendered in shiny dark wood, decorated with huge replica tunas on the walls. This space in a shopping complex feels efficient, if not exactly inviting. But you are here for the food.
