The menu is a tome so big that a touch of anxiety attends ordering from the sprawling list. Sticking to the restaurant's specialties will not disappoint. Foie gras is seared to tender perfection and blessed with a sweetish red wine dressing. German- Chinese hybrid spring rolls make for an interesting and surprisingly well-executed alternative to otherwise tired finger food. Though small in portion, cheese fondue is not too heavy on emmenthal; the kirsch to sing out and the sauce avoids the common complaint of turning rubbery in mid-dunk. Diners may be punished for being adventurous and straying from the mainstays; heavy soft-shell crab salad is as characterless as the iceberg lettuce and dressing that accompanies it.

Setting

Inside, down-tempo tunes, huge wrap-around leather booths and a cheese motif create a relaxed and casual vibe. The outside patio provides an ideal pasture for all-day grazing.
