Tables offers classic European
cuisine with the freshest ingredients, and tableside
cooking adds to the sense of occasion. A starter to share
is seafood platter of Boston lobster, river prawns, clams
and two kinds of oysters. This spectacular presentation
on crushed ice, with four kinds of sauce, is guaranteed
to get digestive juices flowing. For the main course there
is an excellent selection of seafood and meat dishes to
choose from. Steak au poivre is juicy and tender, the
taste blending excellently with green pepper sauce.
Roasted rack of Gippsland lamb provencal is cooked
to perfection, with remarkable flavour. Separate side
dishes such as roasted portabello mushrooms and
creamed spinach can be ordered to accompany mains.
Desserts, even those created with public preparation in
mind, are less spectacular in terms of both presentation
and taste.
Designed by Tony Chi on the mezzanine of the Grand Hyatt Erawan, this contemporary restaurant incorporates cooking stations close to all diners in a modern and cosy but open atmosphere.
