Sorrento provides imaginative Italian cuisine with an accent on presentation. The creativity at work in the kitchen is epitomised by the treatment of foie gras, served here with green apple and calvados. Melt-in-the-mouth foie gras is set-off perfectly with tart green apple and a drizzle of calvados. Seafood abounds, snowfish with lemon sauce served with green asparagus is a must-try. A local favourite, Phuket lobster, is given a lift baked with bechamel and parmesan. Carnivores should not miss ossobucco with saffron risotto. Chilled, not frozen, Australian veal is rich and flavoursome, served on a bed of saffron-infused arborio rice. Leave room for dessert, in particular flambe berries available in a variety of liqueurs.
