Shin Daikoku Restaurant Bangkok

Food
The restaurant is the more upscale sister of the popular chain Fuji and its menu reflects this relationship, albeit with fine-dining touches. Rainbow tempura, five deep-fried shrimp balls with assorted stuffings, is one of the most popular items on the menu, but flavoursome fried mussels with garlic does a rather more effective job of getting the juices flowing. Among the sushi offerings, spicy tuna roll stands out, but many other tempting choices are also available. Shabu shabu and sukiyaki are traditional comfort foods great for sharing; the pot for two packs a generous amount of meat and vegetables and makes a decent meal in itself. The dessert menu offers some traditional favourites as well as a few Western selections and assorted ice creams.
Setting
Located in a commercial complex next to a hotel, Shin Daikoku has a cool, sleek interior done in muted colours. The private rooms offer a warmer and more traditional dining ambience.
