SETTING

Secret Garden is decorated in the style of a pretty English tea room. There is a coffee shop near the front of the entrance, and the main restaurant is located at the back with seating both inside and out.

FOOD

Though the restaurant only opened recently, it already has a loyal following due to its famous house dessert of crepe cake served with strawberry sauce, which is made to the owner's secret recipe. The comprehensive menu here offers traditional Thai food. Some of the most popular appetisers include deep-fried chicken wing with pandan leaf, deep-fried wonton with cheese, and fried sesame spring rolls stuffed with chicken and shrimp. For the main course, try deep-fried sea bass with herb topping; the fish is fresh and tender, and goes perfectly with the spicy sauce. Beef green curry with roti is another classic, and it is good here. Spicy stir-fried morning glory with soysauce is made the old-fashioned way, using the stalks of the vegetable only. If you enjoy traditional Thai-style fried rice, it is served here with shrimp, salted egg paste and chilli. Desserts are outstanding; apart from famous crepe cake, excellent choices include banoffee pie, strawberry yoghurt cake and New York cheesecake.
