FOOD:

The open setting makes it tricky to keep food at the correct temperature, so choose dishes appropriately. Red Sky caesar features fresh Andaman tiger prawn and a creamy dressing complemented with parmesan shavings. Alaskan king crab salad, with a grape and pomelo salad and smoked chilli dressing, also seems to work well at altitude. House-made fettucini is filled with a rich lobster and an olive oil, tomato concasse, leeks, garlic and scallion dressing. There are some excellent steaks on offer with perhaps the best being the US prime tenderloin served with a brandy pepper sauce and french bean fricassee and potato gaufrettes. Of the excellent desserts Valhrona manjari moist chocolate cake with caramel ice cream and orange caramel sauce is the stand out.

SETTINGS:

Stunning open roof top setting, 65 floors above Bangkok's central shopping district with both indoor and outdoor options and an open sky bar/ nightclub one floor higher. Red Sky is a great place to wind down after a day spent splurging on the luxury boutiques below.
