Dishes are rich and imaginative, with
an emphasis on top-quality, often expensive ingredients.
Baby artichoke, pomegranate and rocket salad makes a
good starter, but even better is creamy mushroom soup
with truffle oil, possibly the best example of the dish
served in Bangkok. Pan-fried foie gras is a good attempt
at a classic-and the sweetness of honey-roasted
potatoes is a smart match-but French lobster tail is
rather tough going, a problem that extends to visually
enchanting squid ink ravioli with Andaman tiger prawns.
From the dessert menu, tiramisu is deconstructed and
reinvented with Thai flair.
A large, wood-accented dining area on the 23rd floor of the Crowne Plaza Bangkok Lumpini Park (formerly Pan Pacific Bangkok), the view from which attracts hotel guests and hi-so Thais alike.
