FOOD

Once Upon A Time is popular mainly among foreign residents and tourists. Not too spicy and served in generous portions, food will appeal to those new to Thai cuisine or with sensitive stomachs. An extensive menu features most traditional Thai dishes, from appetisers, salads and soups to curries, stir-fries and desserts. Begin with chicken satay; with 10 charcoal-grilled brochettes of chicken served with a strong peanut curry dip, this is a great starter to share. Also tasty is spicy pomelo salad; well seasoned with specks of dried onion, it is delightfully refreshing. As a main, chicken light brown curry is flavoursome though a bit on the sweet side while chicken with cashew nuts, dry chilli and onions is a scrumptious and therefore safe choice. There is also a selection of regional specialities.
