SETTING
The setting in an office building is business-like with the warm familiarity of a busy downtown Tokyo favourite. This is one of three branches in Bangkok and is frequented by Thai and Japanese clients with heavy usage of the private rooms for important business occasions.
FOOD
The menu in both Thai and Japanese, helpfully with photos of most of the dishes, has a very extensive selection of a la carte items plus various set selections to suit all occasions. The kobe beef is, as should be expected, delicate and full of flavour and is available either in shabu shabu, sukiyaki or sashimi style. The teppan course set menu is excellent with crunchy crisp vegetables sizzling alongside either kobe, US or Thai beef depending on your taste and budget, and accompanied by sashimi, salad, onyasai, garlic rice, tsukemono, miso soup and dessert. There is a whole variety of local and imported seafood dishes cooked or prepared in traditional style by two experienced Japanese chefs and an army of Thai colleagues and a small number of westernstyle dishes for those feeling less adventurous. Finish your meal with kori ichigo, a mountain of shaved ice flavoured with green tea and syrup.
