SETTING

Set in an old house, the cosy interior of My Style suggests somebody's living room, with the owner's paintings adorning the walls, comfy seating areas and children's books on shelves. There is also a terrace in the back of the building.

FOOD

My Style's extensive menu covers a range of dishes including sandwiches, snacks and typical Thai creations, as well as other Asian and Western choices. There are four set menus, each of which features six dishes and includes green salad, steamed rice and fresh fruit or ice cream, plus water and soft drinks. Spicy pomelo salad is a light way to get started. This is an interesting adaptation containing dried shrimp and strips of dried cuttlefish alongside the fruit; it has a pleasant flavour but can be rather more spicy. This is a recurring theme, applying to grilled beef salad and spaghetti namprik ong alike; truly serious chilli fiends would be advised to specify the level of piquancy they require. Green curry is tasty but the generous pile of roti that accompanies it is perhaps a little too greasy. A dessert of brownie and ice cream is delicious; the brownie is light in texture, served warm and with your chosen variety of ice cream.
