Minibar Royale offers delicacies more often found in the cool cafes of Paris and New York. Begin with grilled romaine caesar salad, generous on parmesan and dressing; the cooked leaves are an interesting variation. Home-smoked salmon, caper and mayonnaise grilled sandwich is ideal for lunch; the chunks of salmon are not too dry, while the capers and mayonnaise are mixed thoroughly. Minibar tiger prawn roll is only so-so; the combination of prawn, mayonnaise and celery is served on a lightly grilled bun. For a more substantial dish, try steak frites with gorgonzola butter; the nicely pink Australian tenderloin is juicy and tender, and the serving is generous enough to share between two people.
