FOOD
Melba's international cuisine combines Central European, Mediterranean and Southeast Asian influences. For recommendations check out the specials board or talk to co-owner Yasumin Sridatragula. From a menu that features tapas-style snacks, soups, salads, vegetarian, meat and fish dishes as well as pasta, risotto and even pizza, begin with onion soup, packed with onions and little broth. tapas plate for two features a roast eggplant dip, marinated olives, grilled chorizo sausage, marinated Persian feta and lat bread. listed as a snack, tomato and goat cheese is a surprisingly large dish. For mains, grilled snow fish is pleasantly fluffy and tasty, served with crispy potato croquettes and a delicious mixed spiced nuts, grape and apple salad. Spanish-style vegetarian frittata with rocket, baby spinach and oven-dried tomatoes is also appealing. Belgian chocolate tart with fresh strawberry and white choc parfait, or double brie with port pear offer two great meal closers.
