Le Pre Grill occupies a charming old house with understated interiors and offers a brasserie-like atmosphere.

FOOD

Owner/chef Jai Lafon is half Thai and half French, and his cuisine is authentic French. The menu here is compact, but includes many traditional French favourites. Look out for the chef's recommendations and daily specialities on offer. Recommended set menus are also available for lunch and dinner. Signature French appetiser escargots with garlic and parsley butter is absolutely delicious and definitely not to be missed. Also excellent is gratin onion soup topped with emmental cheese and crouton, very satisfying. For mains, try duck leg confit served with sauteed potato, mushrooms and orange sauce, very good indeed. Pork fillet served with sweet and sour orange sauce is also highly recommended. Do not miss out on desserts here; classic chocolate mousse is divine and is the best to be found in Bangkok.
