La Scala offers a contemporary dining experience with an open kitchen in the centre of the restaurant.

FOOD

Fine quality Italian cuisine with beautiful presentation, the menu offers a good variety of appetisers such as antipasto misto. Highly recommended is sauteed scallops with roasted pumpkin mousse, goose liver confit and thyme sauce. Australian tenderloin beef carpaccio with marinated seasonal mushrooms and black truffle is also excellent. For pizza and pasta lovers, try the thin-crust pizza bread filled with mascarpone, parma ham, rocket and truffle oil. Summer pumpkin tortelloni with Bolognese ragout is a traditional Italian pasta dish and not to be missed here. Pan-fried black cod with carrot mash, caramelised cauliflower and Sicilian pesto is tender and succulent. Desserts here are outstanding; try sensational warm, soft, grand cru chocolate cake with caramel ice cream and vanilla sauce.
