FOOD
Hidden among the standard Chinese fare are a few dishes made with goat meat, which are a real highlight, so try at least one plate. Barbecue pork buns are somewhat tasty, but be forewarned - they are extremely filling. Pan-fried egg noodles with goat meat is a true delight and strongly recommended because its quickly addictive combination will amaze. Spinach with garlic and red peppers and beans is a bountiful, lavish dish. Steamed cod fish with soysauce offers very mild, white fish under a blanket of slightly sweet brown sauce. Pan-fried mixed vegetables groups asparagus, carrots, mushrooms, various green leaves and a surprisingly delicious bouquet of thin sprouts. Goose webs, sea cucumber and shellfish also make an appearance and show a family's ability to provide good home-cooked Chinese meals.
