FOOD
This long-established restaurant is the work of Cha Cha, who for 40 years cooked for the rich and famous. Cha Cha's son has maintained the family tradition of serving hearty Indian fare. As starters there is an extensive selection of samosas and pakoras. From the tandoori specials, chicken tikka mint is outstanding; marinated, boneless pieces of chicken, baked in the tandoor, simply melt in the mouth. Needless to say curries abound with mutton chutniwalla being the pick of the lot. Vindaloo is also recommended but for those of a less fiery disposition, chicken kashmiri, a rich, mild Himalayan blend with dried fruits, nuts and yoghurt will hit the spot. Vegetarians are well-catered for, with bindi masala standing out with its dry preparation. Kulfi, a nutty, creamy Indian ice cream, is a good way to finish a spicy meal.
