Hazara serves northern Indian cuisine with the fundamental simplicity of the tandoor clay oven, and the rich yet delicate sauces of the handi Indian wok. As a traditional appetiser, try keema samosa, pastry pyramids stuffed with minced mutton and Indian spices, or tandoori murgh chaat, sliced tandoori chicken in a spicy masala with strips of green mango. There is a wide variety of healthy, tasty main courses. Machli tikka rampuri, for example, is boneless fish marinated in spices and mustard oil, and cooked in the tandoor. Tawa jheenga is a typical Punjab dish of king prawns cooked with a mixture of ginger, onion and coriander. Bengan matter is a vegetarian favourite of eggplant and green peas in a curry sauce. Finally, don't miss dhaal Hazara, creamy black lentils simmered over the tandoor for eight hours. The best dish to finish a meal is the classic Indian ice cream, kulfi.

Setting

A teak house surrounded by lush vegetation is decorated in tasteful and dramatic style. There is also a Thai restaurant and a newly opened sushi bar in the complex of Thai houses.
