There is a wide selection of
pizzas and pastas, as one would expect from an
Italian restaurant, but chef Gael Lardiere also offers
far more diverse Mediterannean fare. Venetian-style
beef carpaccio comes with a personalised choice
of dressings and among the more imaginative main
courses are Mediterranean herb-crusted snowfish
with Calabrian-style eggplant fricassee, forked saffron
potatoes and tomato salsa; and roast duck breast with
polenta checkers, braised red cabbage and fig sauce.
Innovative Italian desserts include chocolate lasagna
layered with vanilla ricotta and chocolate mousse.
This art deco, marble-and-wood decorated restaurant is located in the Royal Orchid Sheraton Hotel. The exterior offers a relaxing riverside view and the service is attentive yet unobtrusive, with staff happy to help you navigate the menu.
