Owner Gianni Favro is one of the best known and most respected Italian chefs in Bangkok. His menu combines both traditional and innovative dishes to cater for increasingly sophisticated tastes in Italian food. From the appetisers, pan-roasted goose liver tossed in fragrant raspberry vinegar sauce is superb. Tartare of red tuna dressed with extra virgin olive oil and shallots is also highly recommended. There is a wide selection of mouth-watering pasta dishes, from hand-twisted fresh pasta with lamb ragout to ricotta and spinach ravioli with parmesan and sage butter. As a main course, try sole rolls filled with lobster and iced vegetables on a light sweet-pepper sauce, a heavenly combination of fish and shellfish. For a signature Italian meat course, charcoal grilled T-bone steak alla Fiorentina is also excellent. To finish, ice cream cake with raspberry sauce is perfect.

Setting

The well-spaced tables make the place look larger than it is. The atmosphere is cosy and relaxed; the decor is unpretentiously smart.
