FOOD:

After a welcome drink served in a test tube, home-made ravioli with lobster, marscarpone, and sevruga caviar is a gorgeous combination. On the heavier side, risotto porcini foie gras shows off a lovely combination of crunchy chestnuts, juicy porcini mushroom and pan-fried foie gras, slightly crispy on the exterior and plump and rich inside. There is a fine selection of fish and shellfish specialities including Mediterranean seafood casserole. Moroccan lamb rack is, like most dishes, generously proportioned, with three pieces of lamb subtly marinated and sitting atop a crispy garlic and raisin couscous base. Gai has the final say with the menu with a selection of unique desserts that must not be overlooked.

SETTINGS:

Gai and Joel Wilkinson are a husband-and wife team who met and made their names in Hua Hin, and have now brought their eclectic cooking talents to Bangkok, in the location previously occupied by Ember. Service is knowledgeable, helpful and attentive.
