FOOD
A Korean-trained Thai chef heads a team of four cooks sending out assorted kimchi pickles and vegetables, with free refills, together with the entrees. A large selection of meat and seafood is available raw for grilling at the table or cooked in the kitchen. Yang nyum gal bi, seasoned Thai-French beef short-ribs, retains its softness even when fully cooked. Grilled marinated spicy lean sliced pork, dae ji pul go gi, is beautifully tender, while sam gae tang, hot ginseng chicken soup, is popular but bu set jeon gol, mushroom, beef and vegetable stew, is also a good option. The hotpot prepared at the table is full of assorted mushrooms, marinated beef slices, crabsticks and vegetables cooked in stock made from tiny dried white fish imported from Korea. Pounded fresh chilli paste is added to taste when the stew is cooked.
