FOOD
Despite calling itself a tearoom, this authentic Thai restaurant run by the Grand Hyatt Erawan offers a long list of local delicacies and desserts available in small and large servings. Crisp, deep-fried bean curd in breadcrumbs with sweet chilli tamarind sauce is a wholesome appetiser best followed by sour and spicy fare like steamed sea bass with chilli and lime sauce. Fried river prawns in rich, red curry will not disappoint as it reverberates with a spicy flavour and is absolutely fresh. The restaurant does have an afternoon tea set in beautiful antique silverware with some selections of local, fruit and imported teas, although the Thai appetisers that accompany it are the highlight.
