ADDRESS
Langsuan Balcony, 99/11-12 Soi Langsuan, Bangkok
SETTING
Occupying two floors facing the road at the Langsuan Balcony complex. The design is modern and fairly minimalist and the restaurant needs to be busy to show character.
FOOD
Piping hot and fresh pita bread is served on arrival with a choice of tomato or garlic paste and is a good indication of the quality of the food to come. Both mushroom and onion soups are full of flavour with the former coming as a creamy broth filled with chunks of mushrooms and the latter accompanied by granny Smith apple flavouring and a cheese gratinee. Duck leg conf it is presented on a small mixed-leaf salad and the meat is bursting with taste, falling readily from the bone. For a main course, choose Black Angus steak served with a pepper sauce and corn and petit pois. Chilean sea bass with mushroom and garlic sauce is moist and full in taste and just delicious. Desserts are freshly prepared and some, such as baked apple tart with vanilla ice cream, can take up to 30 minutes to prepare, so order in advance.
