The menu combines imported
ingredients with vegetables and aromatic plants from
the Royal Projects. Cauliflower soup with salmon confit
in olive oil is pure art. Pan-fried duck liver is a dish
that can be found in many places, but the addition of
roasted peach and mosto cotto (grape pulp) take it in
new directions. Grilled snowfish is innovative, subtle
and fine. Magret de canard is perfectly cooked and very
tender with a lovely flavour. There is also an imaginative
vegetarian selection. Souffles-grand marnier crepe and
bitter chocolate-are presented with style and ensure
satisfaction. Another interesting dessert is crunchy
meringue with white chocolate mousse. It is quite a
performance to prepare but well worth the effort.
On top of the Dusit Thani, the view over Bangkok and the elegant, contemporary decoration sets the scene for a unique experience and some of the best French cuisine in town. Recently refreshed, D'Sens is run in partnership with the Pourcel brothers, who own the two Michelin-star Jardin des Sens in France.
