The menu is a mixture of old favourites, and 21st-century reinventions that add new textures to Thai cuisine. Most dishes can be ordered as large or small portions, which makes it easy to construct a good tasting menu without overeating; many can also be re-worked to suit vegetarian diners. Lamb in betel leaf is a stand-out, pitting the sweetness of the meat against slightly bitter leaves. Spicy mayo wakes up a dish of shrimp and calamari fritters. Sea bass satay is tasty and well cooked, but ask for the peanut sauce on the side, not over the fish. Gai lan salad is a satisfying concoction of minced pork, shrimp and kale. For dessert, pandanus creme brulee is actually a creme caramel with an unusual flavour; green apple spring rolls, on the other hand, offers a delicious mixture of sweet and tart flavours.

Setting

The new outlet by celebrity chef ML Kwantip Devakul is light, airy and modern, with orange and olive tones throughout.
