SETTING

Minimalist and bright, Cy'an's interior is dominated by white tones, and the bar stands out in bright turquoise blue.

FOOD

Amanda Gale, the Australian executive chef, creates some of the most exquisite Mediterranean-inspired cuisine. The presentation of the dishes here is in a league of its own, a virtual feast for the eyes. The set lunch is very good value, and you can choose from a good selection of appetisers, main courses and desserts. Highly recommended is caesar salad, one of the best in Bangkok. Charcoal-grilled squid with orange, almonds and harissa dressing is another outstanding dish not to be missed, while fried snapper served in old-fashioned fish-and-chips style with tartar sauce and hand-cut chips is an infinitely superior version to the original; it is utterly delicious. Also try garlic and rosemary roasted chicken, which is superb. Highly recommended is the tasting menu, a feast of eight courses for 2,800 baht without wine.
