Mark Anthony Calderazzo is the Australian-Italian owner, his southern Italian cuisine heavily influenced by the use of imported fresh produce from Australia and New Zealand. Before ordering your main meal, snack on granchi (crabmeat with capers, caviar and aioli on garlic bread) or fried baby calamari with herbed tartare sauce. Antipasti misti is a mixture of signature appetisers, ample for two. Grilled Italian pork sausage with honey balsamic dressing on divine mashed potatoes is not to be missed. A variety of homemade pasta is a house speciality; try excellent tagliolini verde with blue crab, or strozzapreti with New Zealand lamb in bell pepper sauce. For a main course, grilled, marinated, deboned baby chicken is highly recommended and grilled barramundi served with potato, mushroom, olives, pine nuts and rosemary is also excellent. Don't miss the sensational desserts.
