Thai chef Ian Kittichai is a name to drop in New York and Sydney, as well as here in Bangkok. His akami tuna, marinated in extra virgin olive oil, is simple yet unforgettable as a starter. Charcooked halibut fillet with zucchini noodles and seafood sauce surpasses all expectations; the oiliness that bedevils this fish in less skilled hands is reduced, but not extinguished, by a nicely spicy sauce. For those with heartier appetites, filet mignon is also terrific, served with arugula salad, tomato confit and parmesan cheese. Crepe souffle with berry vanilla sauce offers a dreamy end to an excellent meal.

Setting

The restaurant makes good use of space, with mirrors and low, comfortable, earth-tone sofas contributing to an overall ambience that is modern and deeply relaxing.
