Walk in with non-fine dining expectation and Belguardo will not disappoint. Rocket salad with seared tuna and fennel is a refreshing start, thanks to the tasty dressing topped with linseeds. Scallop salad is praiseworthy for the fresh leaves and well cooked seafood. However, the main dishes lag behind on the wow factor. Seafood spaghetti disappoints, the seafood mixture heavy on squid and shell. Roasted lamb rack is slightly overcooked and could do with fresher ingredients. A lighter, flavourful dish is risotto with porcini mushroom in squid ink. The dessert list ranges from ice creams to creme brulee, while a good espresso provides the meal with a wonderful finale.

Setting

Set on the ground floor of Siam Paragon, Belguardo is cosy and has an open kitchen. Its large wine inventory gives it an elegant look that distinguishes it from other typical mall restaurants.
