Beccofino's exquisite menu reflects the northern Italian origins and high standards of co-owner/chef Angelo Rotoli. Lush pan-fried duck liver is balanced by caramelised peach, balsamic reduction and tangy rocket. Fantasy appetiser platter overflows with beautifully presented tuna tartare, duck liver pate on toast rounds, sea-tangy crab timbale, delicate rocket and avocado salad, and spicy Mediterranean squid salad with roast peppers. Homemade taglialini comes al dente, with sliced prawns, bell peppers, basil and pepper. Beef lasagna is a crafted play of textures: lightly burnt, crispy cheese, soft meat, thin pasta. Close with chocolate cake with macaroon and crushed almond crust, lemon tart or just a good espresso.
