The menu is simple and mainly Thai, apart from a few pasta dishes. Som tum fruits is a selection of the day's fresh fruits that might include pomelo, grape, strawberry, apple, green mango, rose apple and tomato mixed with a spicy sauce. Slightly more traditional but just as tasty are fish cakes and khao tang (crispy rice crackers with a tangy pork and shrimp mixed paste). For the main dishes beef with green curry comes in a filling deep bowl with a generous amount of tender beef slices mixed with eggplant and green peas in a spicy sauce. Another standout is deepfried sea bass; the chefs somehow manage to fry the skin crisply while leaving the white flesh packed full of flavour. Desserts change on a daily basis and typically feature fruits in syrup.

Setting

This new, yet already popular addition to the casual hi-so Bangkok dining scene is in a pleasant two-storey house with an outdoor courtyard. Black and white family snapshots adorn the walls, adding to the simple, stylish white wooden decor.
