Angelina is a French-style cafe with creative French and fusion Thai plates from up-and-coming chef Art Prasopchoke. Starters are enticing; grilled country ham and apple is especially good, featuring cool fruit wrapped tenderly in warm, thinly-sliced meat with mixed baby greens and apple cider vinaigrette. The luxury of foie gras salad is balanced by the healthy overtones of green beans, grape tomatoes and artichokes with plum balsamic vinaigrette. As a main dish, salmon brochettes in herbed orange sauce could offer better integration of fish and sauce, but the overall presentation is superb. Apple cider sorbet with whipped cream and roseberry sauce offers a heavenly sweet, sour and cool flourish to end the meal. Alternatively, choose from a variety of cakes brought to your table.

Setting

White-cloth tables and comfortable chairs create a classy, whitepicket- fence feel. If you don't mind the ladies' clothing section of the department store that surrounds it then you're game for a relaxing, creative and enjoyable eat.
