The easiest way to break Sukhumvit Road down is by Skytrain (BTS) station, and somehow the area around each station has developed its own unique character with special attractions, highlights and supporters. What all of these areas have in common - apart from easy Skytrain access - is a selection of fine hotels suited to every taste and budget, and we've lined up the best for you, along with some great deals. The start of Sukhumvit Road is at the Ratchaprasong intersection (both the Chidlom and Ploenchit BTS stations are nearby), and for hotels in this area, renowned for its many upper-end shopping malls, you can have a look at the Ratchaprasong hotels section. Other hotels along this road are mostly concentrated around the Nana, Asok and Phrom Phong BTS stations, which are the most popular areas. The further away from the city towards the end of the BTS line at On Nut station, the more suburban and less touristy Sukhumvit Road becomes.
Nana
Nana BTS station is close to Sukhumvit 'sois' (streets) 5, 6 and 7, an area known for nightlife and its street market. The infamous Nana Plaza (a Go-Go 'mall') is possibly the area's biggest attraction, but there are also many tailors, jewelry shops, great restaurants and the charming Little Arabia, an authentic touch of the Middle East with wonderful (and different!) eating experiences. The Queen Sirikit National Convention Centre, where many exhibitions and trade fairs are held throughout the year, is also close by.

Asok
One of the biggest conveniences of this area is that the Sukhumvit BTS line connects here with the underground (MRT), giving you the flexibility to explore larger parts of the city with public transportation (quickly and conveniently). This is near Sukhumvit 'sois' (streets) 14, 16, 19 and 21, and also home to a large Robinson's Departments Store, a TOPS Supermarket and smaller malls like Times Square. At night, street vendors set up shop in the area around the BTS station, and a wide range of Asian and international restaurants can also be found here.

Phrom Phong
Directly connected to the BTS station is the fashionable Emporium shopping mall, one of Bangkok's most popular. Sukhumvit 'sois' (streets) 22, 24, 31 and 33 run just off the main road here.
