Housed inside a modern, eight-storey building, Saphaipae Hostel (meaning backpacking hostel) caters to budget, solo travellers. The hip interiors evoke an industrial loft style, with polished concrete floor, colourful bed frames and eye-catching wall decal graphics. Beds come in five types, and there are dedicated floors only for men and women as well as co-ed floors and private rooms with en-suite bathrooms.
The shared bathrooms are single-sex only and come with full bath amenities. Other shared facilities include a laundry room, common TV lounge with DVD rentals, internet kiosks (free), a pool table, bar and restaurant. The location is tucked away between Sathorn and Silom roads, a five-minute walk from Surasak BTS.
