Somerset Park Suanplu Bangkok Review
Residences vary from one- to three-bedroom suites, fully-equipped to accommodate two persons per room. The distinguishing factor is space. The Premier Suite is an enlarged version of the Executive Suite. The smallest ones have a bath and shower duo, while upgrades have separate facilities (and outrageously huge showers). Another difference is that the larger suites have ovens in addition to the hot plates found in the more basic one-bedroom. The largest, the three-bedroom Premier Suite (a palatial 240 square metres), has an ensuite bathroom for each bedroom, plus a guest bathroom. In addition to this, it even has a maid's room (also with its own bathroom) situated off the balcony. All the fittings and features your heart desiresA marble-floored bathroom, tiled kitchenette and luxuriously carpeted bedroom add to the richness of surfaces and textures in living spaces. The one-bedroom Executive Suite has a plush king-size bed, dressing table with hairdryer and roomy closets. A television forms the focal point and there is good bedside lighting. The room opens onto a balcony.
The living area is decked out with a DVD home theatre, 29-inch television, coffee table and comfy couches. There is a well-lit writing desk, with telephone and complimentary high-speed LAN Internet access. The glass-topped dining table for four, set with table runners, place mats, coasters and a ceramic fruit tray lend personal touches, making it feel more like home. The open-planned kitchenette is fully-equipped with all you would expect: Fridge (3/4 size), kettle, toaster, two-plate stove top, tea set, crockery and cutlery - including two sets of chopsticks and Chinese soup spoons. There is a sink and ample packing space in the form of drawers, cabinets and even a store room. The most important meal of the dayOn the ground floor, restaurant Panya has a menu to suit Thai and international tastes. You can either enjoy a meal within the high-ceilinged dining room or have your choice brought up to your room. Room service is available until past ten at night. A hearty international breakfast buffet welcomes the start of a new day. Everything one would expect from to find at a good breakfast buffet are featured in the spread, whether you're a bacon-and-egg kind of person, or prefer to go easy on calories with health breads, yoghurt and fruit - or various delectable Asian options. Balanced lifestyles, work or play
With all your needs in mind, Somerset Park Suanplu also has a Business Center equipped with web-connected PCs, as well as an immaculate boardroom and large funtion/conference room. There is also a mini supermarket that stocks essentials, and a coin laundry on the fourth level. A vast number of other services are also just a call away. The property is a great choice for families. The landscaped garden with water features, a lily pond and a foot reflexology pathway is the place to enjoy a tranquil moment. A soft green lawn leads onto a small children's playground. Overlooking, is a shady pagoda - the perfect spot from which to supervise. There are daily yoga and aerobics classes, while a spa offers a range of massage treatments. Sauna and steam baths with separate facilities for men and women, and an open-air Jacuzzi are other soulful features found on the fifth floor, where the gymnasium is also located.
Popular with business execs, it is also ideal for long-stay guests who prefer a balanced lifestyle with the luxury of space. It is suitable den, too, for keeping a partner or the family safe and comfortable. The location makes for easy access to all major shopping areas, embassies and business districts. A free scheduled shuttle van takes guests to the Silom shopping area, and connects to the nearest Skytrain (BTS) and underground stations. Came bed-time, the cute little (complimentary) teddy bear tucked among the plush pillows was an extra special touch, and the kind of attention to detail that makes staying here such a pleasure.
