The kitchen is under the supervision of a young, visionary chef who trained at some of the most prestigious restaurants in Bangkok. With an interest in molecular gastronomy, some of the techniques used are inspired by those used at the famed Spanish culinary school elBulli. Ingredients are imported to ensure that Whale’s Belly serves the finest quality produce available.

Hemingway’s Bar and Restaurant in Bangkok is an altogether charming place in downtown Sukhumvit to enjoy a casual dinner or meet for drinks with friends. Occupying a lovingly renovated teak mansion and surrounded by tall trees, a varied mix of customers fill different sections of the house and grounds. The lively bar and garden downstairs has a very European bar vibe while upstairs on the veranda or inside the dining room, a more relaxed ambiance allows guests to enjoy the excellent menu of tapas bites, new world dishes and more hearty mains.

Dine in the Dark is back in Bangkok, and promises one of the most unique restaurant experiences you’ll ever have. DID now occupies a spot on the ground floor of Sheraton Grande Sukhumvit Hotel and takes full advantage of the skilled chefs working throughout the hotel’s many dining venues, meaning the quality of your food is guaranteed – even if you can’t actually see it. Osha Bangkok recently opened its towering doors at a prominent corner spot on Wireless Road opposite Lumpini Park, and is run by the same family behind five hugely successful Thai restaurants in San Francisco. Along with some outrageously spectacular décor, the Osha team have recruited Thailand’s celebrity Iron Chef, Thaninthorn Chantrawan, who’s now the man responsible for the restaurant’s menu of ‘authentic Thai cuisine with a molecular twist’ – and a twist there certainly is.
