Cheaper (but good) Hotels in Chidlom

Choosing the right hotel in any budget is difficult, but getting a cheap (but good) hotel is one of the hardest of all to get right. In every destination the definition of ‘cheap’ changes, and so too does the quality of budget friendly hotels. We have spent many years trying to find the best compromise between quality and price. In this section we have selected hotels that are among the cheapest in the area yet are still sure to put a smile on your face – we only pick places we would be happy to send our families!

Why We Picked This Hotel:

Centre Point Chidlom has a fantastic location on Langsuan Road, a leafy avenue that connects Chidlom and Ploenchit to Lumpini Park and the business neighbourhood of Sathorn. Add to this that it is only a short walk to the BTS Station and Central Department Store, this hotel really does have the balance of calm and connected sorted. Langsuan is an affluent street that brings together a blend of smart restaurants, local cafes and small massage shops, so whatever the mood, it's not far to go to find entertainment or a bite to eat.

There are five room types available, all which have been recently renovated starting at a 40 square metre Studio A, a cosy room that comes with a large cosy bed and bathroom. For a more home away from home feel, Studio B comes with a small kitchen and washing machine. Rooms have a classic feel to them, with desk space and a flat screen television in every one. Because many of the rooms here have an apartment style, facilities and services are set up to give Centre Point Chidlom a home away from home feel, including a large swimming pool, fitness room, sauna and squash room. There is also an onsite restaurant.

What We Loved:

 - Peaceful location on swanky residential street (but able walk to BTS Skytrain and many great restaurants)
 - Spacious guestrooms are aging but kept very clean
 - 24 hour fitness centre
 - Serviced apartment style rooms with kitchen facilities and washing machine (and detergent)
