Phi Phi Islands

Phi Phi Travel Information

Pristine beaches of powdery white sand, stunning limestone rock formations, vivid turquoise waters teeming with colourful marine life. Gorgeous Phi Phi Island is easily among the most beautiful in the world. Yes, both Phi Phi Don and the smaller rocky island of Phi Phi Ley, were affected by the tsunami, which hit in December 2004. But the islands have made a spectacular recovery with reburbished hotels and guesthouses now open for business. Along many beaches the famed soft sands fringed by swaying coconut palms and vibrant coral reefs are looking better than ever.

Where to Stay in Phi Phi - Phi Phi Hotels

Tonsai and Loh Dalum hotels tend to be busy and exciting places to stay due to the vibrancy of Tonsai Village, whereas the hotels a little further out are more peaceful. On the east coast, things get even more tranquil and boat transport is needed to get around.

Phi Phi Beaches & Islands

Phi Phi consists of six small islands south of Phuket which overflow with fine sandy beaches that give way to soaring limestone cliffs to form spectacular scenery. Add crystal clear water, a refreshing lack of roads, plus a laid-back lifestyle, and it's easy to see why Phi Phi is one of southern Thailand's most popular destinations. (Read More)

The island's pubs and bars are centrally located and easy to find. At 2am the music stops but bars generally stay open for as long as they have customers. (Read More)
