Pattaya Walking Street Restaurants

Dining in Pattaya

There are a surprising number of Pattaya Walking Street restaurants, given that the kilometre-long road is best known for its nightlife. Many of the available options are large and well-established seafood outlets, some of which date back as far as the very beginning of Pattaya’s tourism boom in the early 1980s. These places have taken some of the premium locations along Walking Street, with dining areas looking out across Pattaya Bay from small piers at the back.

There is a great deal of choice when it comes to dining on Walking Street, with something for almost every budget and almost every taste. Different restaurants present high-quality Thai, French, Italian, American, Russian and Indian cuisine, among others. There is usually also an impressive selection of street vendors in the early hours of the morning, with everything from kebabs to insects for you to feast on after a long night of partying.

Able to accommodate up to 600 patrons at once, it is one of the largest seafood restaurants in Pattaya, but still has a pretty good quality of furnishing and cutlery and a pleasant airy setting with views over Pattaya Bay. The food, as the name suggests, is fair – fair prices for over 200 fair quality Thai and western dishes, including a tasty seafood platter for 2,500 baht, with enough crab, fish, rock lobster, prawns and calamari to feed five people.

Nang Nual Restaurant

Among the many large seafood restaurants on Walking Street, Nang Nual is remarkable for having two dining areas – one on either side of the street. Both parts of this highly renowned restaurant have quite a romantic atmosphere, though the seaview terrace is clearly the superior choice. Sea Zone Pattaya

As the bright neon frontage of Sea Zone boasts, it is a “very nice place”. They have a big menu of Thai and international preparations, with notable options including crabs in cheese and rock lobsters in garlic. Lobster is 400 baht per 100g (250 baht per 100g if you have a frozen one), so be careful that you check how much the lobster you pick weighs or you might get a nasty surprise with the bill.
