Le Kitchen Restaurant Pattaya is the European-style eatery of the four-star LK The Empress hotel on Pattaya Beach Road. With its sophisticated décor, beach view and an impressive selection of high-end cuisine, it is a great place to enjoy a relaxed breakfast, a cool lunch and a romantic dinner.
Located practically next door to Mike Shopping Mall and a short walk from Royal Garden Plaza, the ground floor eatery really catches the attention as you pass the end of Soi 12. Its classic French café style and plush furnishings seem slightly incongruous, but very inviting, as does the menu on the golden lectern by the pavement.

With its open design, beachfront location and numerous fans, it can actually get quite breezy in Le Kitchen Restaurant Pattaya, offering welcome respite on a hot day. The street café-style tables at the front and the soft, smart seating amongst the cool marble of the palatial interior also offer comfort and sophistication.
The food on offer carries on the same theme. Mostly consisting of European dishes, with a small collection of Thai favourites, the preparations use imported meats and seafood to create fine haute cuisine meals at surprisingly fair prices. For a really special meal, we would heartily recommend the New Zealand mussels in white wine sauce for 320 baht and the rock lobster in Béarnaise sauce from 1,500 baht.
We tried out Le Kitchen Restaurant Pattaya for lunch and, while it was slightly disappointing to find that there was no special lunch menu, the options were no less enticing. The beef rolls with orange sauce (390 baht) are bursting with different flavours and textures, with the tender beef wrapped around a mix of peppers sushi-style and the tangy orange sauce adding an interesting extra kick. The mango smoothie (79 baht) also added a thick and fruity dimension to the experience.
Other drinks on offer include a good selection wines, beers and cocktails while other dishes include the club sandwich (180 baht), red snapper fillet with pesto sauce (350 baht), and blueberry crème brûlée (79 baht).
Le Kitchen Restaurant Pattaya offers a great four-star dining experience which, while complete with the high quality and all the trappings of a high-end eatery, remains affordable and approachable. Its prime beachfront location, close to the major malls, makes it both a great place to recover from a morning of retail therapy and a special place for a romantic evening meal within easy reach of the city’s nightlife.
