Dusit Zoo – 10km/30 minutes by car
A family favourite, the Dusit Zoo is the oldest and most highly regarded zoo in Bangkok. Recently upgraded, it is popular for its variety of animals (including big cats and beautiful birds), exciting rides and picnic grounds. Open daily from 9 am to 6 pm.
Siam Park – 45km/30 minutes by car
Packed on weekends, this popular theme park has botanical gardens, an open zoo and amusement park rides, but it is best known for its huge water slides, wave pool and beach. Open Monday to Friday 10am to 6pm, Weekends and public holidays 9am to 7pm.
Siam Centre and Siam Square – 5km/10 minutes by skytrain

Ancient City (Muang Boran) – 50km/1 hour by car
This large outdoor museum is the perfect way to see all of Thailand in just one day. The 200-acre ‘city’ has 109 scaled-down copies of the country’s famous monument and attractions. Perfect for adventuresome kids. Open every day from 8am to 5pm.
Samutprakarn Crocodile Farm – 50km/1 hour by car
The largest crocodile farm in the world is a treat for kids who love animals. On hand are crocs of all ages and of both fresh and saltwater species. There are also elephants, lions, gibbons and snakes in residence. Open daily 7am to 6pm.
